This Privacy Policy explains how Bakiyem (“Bakiyem”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data through the Bakiyem mobile application (iOS and Android) and the website at bakiyem.net (together, the “Service”). It is prepared in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and is consistent with our Google Play Data Safety declaration.

1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

  • Account information: first/last name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and optional company name.
  • Business content you enter: data you create while using the app — customer/contact records, balances, stock and product cards, receipts, cash and ledger entries, workshop/work-order records and reports. This content belongs to you; we process it solely to provide the Service.
  • Payment information: plan and subscription details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider (iyzico); we do not store your full card number.
  • Technical & device data: IP address, device and operating-system type, app version, and security/audit logs (e.g., login time, last login).
  • Support data: messages and details you share when you contact us or open a support ticket.

3. How We Use Data

  • To provide, operate and maintain the Service and your account;
  • To process subscriptions and payments;
  • To sync your data across your devices via the cloud;
  • To provide customer support and respond to requests;
  • To ensure security, prevent fraud and keep auditable records;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Basis

We process data based on the performance of our contract with you, your consent where required, our legitimate interests (security, service improvement), and compliance with legal obligations (KVKK Art. 5–6; GDPR Art. 6).

5. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers acting on our behalf, to the extent necessary:

  • Payment processing: iyzico, for handling card payments securely.
  • Hosting & cloud infrastructure: our server and database providers that store and sync your data.
  • Email delivery: to send transactional emails (verification, notifications).
  • Legal authorities: where required by applicable law.

Some providers may process data outside your country; in such cases we rely on appropriate safeguards.

6. Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) and protected with industry-standard measures, including encryption, access controls, role-based permissions and an auditable activity log. While no method is 100% secure, we work to protect your data using appropriate technical and organizational measures.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized.

8. Your Rights

Under KVKK Art. 11 and the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction/objection to the processing of your data, and request data portability. To exercise these rights, contact info@bakiyem.net.

9. Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time via our Account & Data Deletion page, by emailing destek@bakiyem.net from your registered address, or via your account settings. We process verified deletion requests within 30 days, except for data we must retain for legal obligations.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Cookies

The website uses essential cookies required for sign-in and security (e.g., session and CSRF). We do not use them to sell your data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version; material changes will be communicated through the Service.
